Advice?
Go with the flow! I popped out of the sunroof of the RAM as we were leaving to get our portraits and lost a few buttons off the back of my dress. I look at our photos and can't help but giggle seeing a few little gaps where buttons once were, it's a favourite little memory, SO worth it! Haha

Having the venue for the entire weekend was amazing! The cabins for us and our bridal party were fantastic, it meant no rushing around getting from accommodation to the venue. And for our guests to be able to camp was also a huge plus. Having everyone back for breakfast on Sunday was great too, getting the chance to catch up with anyone we didn't get around to on the wedding night was great. The venue itself is just outstanding. The shed, property & surroundings are just stunning!!!

I absolutely loved the planning process, at times it can get overwhelming so take a step back when it does & remember what’s important. Have your partner or a friend keep you on track and bring you back down to earth when you get overwhelmed.
We found our venue first and I looked through their instagram & tagged posts for vendors with a vibe I loved. Sara from L&L provided an online planning tool which I found super helpful, I could track budget, my checklist & payments due all in one place.
My advice would be to enjoy the planning process, and do what you want, take advice from friends & family but ultimately, it's your day so do it your way! Work out what you want the vibe of the day to be and follow pages or blogs that are similar for ideas & inspo.

Tell us about your wedding style and having a cocktail style reception
We aren't fancy people, and every wedding we've been to our favourite part has been the cocktail mingling time before the sit-down meal. We really just wanted to have fun and for our family & guests to have fun. Couldn't recommend the cocktail vibe enough, it just felt so relaxed and "us".
I think the styling reflected this as well, it wasn't over the top. It was colourful, fun & practical!
I knew I wanted a dress that was comfortable, simple & timeless. I had looked at a few styles before my appointment, but when I finally tried them on, they just weren't for me. The stylist actually picked out my dress and convinced me to try it on. As soon as I saw myself in the mirror, I knew it was a winner!
When I went for my hair trial Nikki convinced me to try on a Roxy Jacenko headband that she had, I didn't think the thicker style would suit me, I actually had one already but in a different style. I'm SO glad I tried it on, with the headband, veil & dress it all came together perfectly.
We went with the cream jacket & casual pants for Josh & the groomsmen to keep it casual and added a little bit of fun colour with the Peggy & Finn bow tie & ties. The boys were easy, and had no requests other than comfort!
I picked the bridesmaid dresses last; I had tossed up between sage, gold or pink for colour and eventually fell in love with the Burnt Rose colour BillyJ had. I wanted the girls to be in a dress they felt comfortable in, could wear again and wasn't going to break the bank. These dresses were all that and they loved them!

Must haves & Advice
Must haves:
A great photographer & videographer - The day goes SO fast, Cloud Catcher captured every moment and I'm so glad to have everything documented forever.. even (especially) the sweaty dance floor pics.
A fun & vibrant celebrant - Sommer delivered!!!
Cocktails - Espresso martinis went down a treat!
Love heart glasses - I purchased these for a bit of a laugh & for the photobooth.. But they ended up being my favourite purchase of the entire wedding haha!
Beautiful flowers - We had fresh roses & dried florals. I saved some of the dried flowers and now have gorgeous little bunches around our home.
ADvice:
Get the cake!! We weren't sure if we should get one or not, and then I found a lovely local cake maker who creates stunning cakes & used florals from our florist to decorate. The photos of us cutting the cake are some of my favourite, it was a statement! We had some leftover, we've frozen it and when we're feeling like a treat we get to reminisce on our wedding day all over!!
