What did you love most about Yabbaloumba Retreat?

Yabbaloumba was the second place we looked at and we emailed Sara straight after leaving to book us in. We loved the remote country setting, with the paddocks and dam as the backdrop. It has a really relaxed atmosphere that I think influenced the overall vibe of the day.  The baby goats and calves were just a bonus.

Booking yabbaloumba includes Sara from L&L co to help you plan, did this help your planning process?

Planning was very fun but also very overwhelming! L & L Co provides you with an amazing wedding planning program called Aisle Planner and we couldn't have done it without it. It outlined everything we should be thinking about, with timelines and easy to update calendars. So easy having it all in the same place! And Sara from L & L Co events!! We wouldn't have known where to start or what to do without her. She has so much knowledge in the wedding business and was always available to answer the hundreds of questions we fired at her. She made the whole process so much more comfortable and stress free, leaving us to just feel excited for the day.

Tell us about starting your reception in the afternoon

We really wanted to make sure we had time to enjoy the day with our loved ones. We got straight into speeches after our arrival back to the reception and it was perfect! It felt more relaxed with us all out on the lawn together and left us plenty of time to party.
This might be the only time all of your favourite people will be in the same place at the same time. Make sure you make enough time to enjoy absolutely every moment of it. You've done the hard yards planning the wedding so now all that’s left is to enjoy it.

Advice for other couples?

Our wedding was truly a reflection of us, we made the whole wedding do a Fireball shot as a toast,  we had tambourines at the ceremony and had carrot cake as our wedding cake. Those little touches that show your personalities individually and as a couple will make it that much more comfortable. It's your wedding, do what you want!
