Advice?
Everyone tells you it goes fast and to take time out for yourselves but it really does go soooo fast so make sure you try to slow down and enjoy it.

We hated the idea of leaving our guests right after the ceremony to take photos, we felt that that moment was one of the most exciting/important and didn't want to miss all the fun with any of our favourite people. The added bonus of seeing each prior also took away any nerves/pressure of the walking down the Aisle (a part I wasn't so keen for with 140 people in the room) and allowed us to really enjoy our ceremony and the moment.

We wanted a stand up reception and didn't want anyone to be restricted to a seat. It felt even more appropriate after Covid restrictions as there were so many people in the room who hadn't got to see each other in such a long time it allowed all of our guests to mingle and us with them (especially the interstaters).
The warehouse Brisbane were great at having the dream come together, they mentioned having food carts for dinner and as soon as we said Asian is out favourite cuisine they made it happen!

We love a reception dress change here at tlc, tell us about finding your dresses!
I knew I wanted to wear feathers, I had actually tried to convince my sister to let me wear it as a bridesmaid outfit for her wedding 3 years ago however no one really understood the vision. Scott got wind of it well before we were even engaged that that was what I wanted and has always joked that he wouldn't marry me if I look liked a bird - so I kept it a secret and married him in something else before changing into a party outfit that I would have happily worn down the aisle! It wasn't easy to find when I was first looking but go figure as soon as I purchased it from Babushka Ballerina the ostrich feather look seemed to be in!

A funny story from the day?
I was holding the knife upside down during the cake cutting and couldn't work out why it wasn't working - Scott jumped in to help and I ended up cutting open his thumb - it was pretty classic.
