Notes from the lovers
what did you love about spicers tamarind?
We loved that we could have everything in the one place. The ceremony, our photos, the reception and accommodation.
We did look at a number of venues but Spicers Taramind ended up being perfect for our small lunch time wedding.

how did you find the planning process?
Planning was so much fun! Until COVID. Planning the second date, and the third, and the fourth became a little stressful but by keeping things simple and intimate we managed to pull off the perfect day
tell us about the decision to have a lunchtime ceremony
We wanted to keep things casual but also accommodate for the small humans attending our wedding - including our son who was almost two at the time. Being lunchtime meant the kids all had a great time (any parents know that toddlers after 5pm are NOT fun. Haha) and the adults could relax and enjoy the beautiful afternoon and still be tucked up in bed by a reasonable time. Haha, sounding my age now right?!
words of advice for other couples?
Do what you and your fiance want. Follow your gut and what makes you happy - even if it's not the "traditional" wedding, if you love everything you plan, the day will suit you and it'll be perfect. We stayed together the night before the wedding, we didn't have a bridal party, we didn't buy each other gifts, we didn't have a sit down meal and we didn't have formal speeches. But there was lots of love, everyone had so much fun and it was perfection.
