Advice?
Decide what your “must haves” are on the day and work from there. You don’t need to spend lots of money on something that isn’t important to you. Remember your wedding is a celebration of love and commitment, enjoy it!

Riverlife was fantastic! About 20 of our guests were interstate and Bonnie from Riverlife was so understanding about the change in our guest numbers last minute.
Our favourite part was the Delicious food and that they have a BYO drinks option.
we had lots of guests who couldn’t make it. Liams brother in Sweden and my best friend/bridesmaid in Sydney sent through video speeches which Matty, our DJ and Riverlife were able to organise to be played on a TV which was really special.

I loved the planning process. I’m super organised and got it all booked in pretty quickly. I mostly used instagram to find vendors except for our celebrant Paul, married our friends a few years ago. I thought he was amazing so I asked for his number from my friend.

your wedding style & finding your dress.
Dress shopping was pretty overwhelming to start with as the style I wanted didn’t actually suit me. I had my eye on multiple Chosen by Kyah dresses, so I booked an appointment at Sphere Collective (now Sphere Gallery). Sarah who owns the boutique was the one to suggest I try my dress. She also helped me create my dream dress by adding sleeves.
I always knew I wanted mis-matching bridesmaids dresses. I had chosen the colour scheme when I first started planning then I let my bridesmaids find their own dresses. One of my original bridesmaids lives in the UK and the other was in lockdown in Sydney, leaving just my sister in my bridal party! decided last minute to have two of my beautiful local friends step in with a week to go. I helped find Penny a dress online that week and Bec had a dress in her wardrobe that went perfectly. It ended up looking amazing together and the girls felt so comfortable wearing dresses they chose themselves.
Liam chose his and the groomsman’s outfits himself! (He’s pretty stylish).

Advice and a fun story from the day?
Enjoy the day! Try not to worry about controlling every aspect. If a vendor says they will take care of something, believe them! We had the best vendors who looked after everything for us.
We had an epic last dance of the night. Matty (our DJ) gathered all of the remaining guests in dance circle around Liam and I as he played Bohemian Rhapsody. It was such a fun way to end they day! So many of our friends thought it was planned but it was completely spontaneous!
