Notes from the lovers
How did you find the planning process?
We really enjoyed planning our wedding together as a couple. Advice for future couples planning now would be to keep it simple. I would also say to start with a big list of everything you need to consider/would like for your wedding day and do a budget for these things, ensuring that it fits within your budget. We were fairly strict with our budget and had what we would call these days a much cheaper wedding yet kept it beautiful and exactly what we wanted as a couple! Spend your money on the things that are most important to YOU as a couple and don’t get caught up seeing
what everyone else does/has done and thinking you need to do the same. Make it
your own UNIQUE wedding that you will remember forever! Remember you don’t
have to try and impress everyone because at the end of the day the marriage is
about you two and your commitment to one another, not the guests and what they

Must haves for the day?
Arnie: ensure you have a good breakfast and/or lunch prior to your ceremony! The business of the day got ahead of me and I didn’t have more food planned at our Airbnb ready to eat. I was also extremely nervous at the ceremony and with both a lack of food and nerves, by the time the ceremony was finished I had a throbbing headache and felt like vomiting. Ensure you have food well prepared for your day prior to the ceremony and don’t go hungry!
Chloe: For Arnie and I, good music, good food, good photography/videography and good people
were our must haves for the day. We are both very simple, down to earth people and the
focus of our wedding day was for everyone to enjoy the atmosphere and to feel the love of
our wedding day! Having a group of our most loved family and friends who
we could all get around to and make memories with on our wedding day was what meant the
most to us.
Tell us about finding your venues!
Arnie and I are both beach lovers and have always wanted to get married close to the
beach. Arnie is from Palm Island and has always lived
close to the water so for him an island/beach/water wedding was always on the cards and
over the years together as a couple we have made some of our best memories at beaches! For our reception we probably never thought we would get married in our friend’s back yard, but it was by far the best decision we ever made! We recommend as many future couples where possible to have a backyard wedding, you can supply your own alcohol, relax in the comfort of someone’s home and
dance the night away in sneakers or barefoot!
And Finding your suppliers...
Ensure to shop around and find a photographer and videographer that you feel
suits you best and your style! We were very thankful to be friends with our videographer and
have him suggest a photographer who we were absolutely blown away with!!! Choosing
these two things was so important to us as we will cherish this day forever, we will reminisce
on our photos and video so wanted to ensure it was right for us!
