Advice for future couples...

Looking back, I really do wish that we had a videographer. I think a wedding video would have been amazing to look back on.

Notes from the lovers

how did you know your venue was the one ?

We always wanted a simple wedding, and wanted our guests to feel relaxed as soon as they walked into our reception. The moment we went and had a tour of the boathouse we knew right away that it was going to be the perfect fit. It matched our aesthetic and vibe to a tee. It’s a cute little restaurant on the river of Noosa, with wooden chairs, white linen table cloths and a fiddle leaf fig tree in the was just so us! We’ve both grown up by the beach - So having our reception at the boathouse was just so magical.

Tell us about your most standout date night ?

Our most stand out date was actually a night on our honeymoon! The two of us went out in hobart on a Friday night. We made a deal that we had to have a drink at every bar on the street (there were a lot of bars haha) I don’t even think we made it half way! We just giggled the whole night and enjoyed each other’s company, it was so special.

Let us in on all the fun bits !

The first funny moment would have been when I tripped on my dress whilst walking up the aisle. My dad had to pick me up off the ground. I was so embarrassed, but I’m super clumsy in heels so I wasn’t too surprised. I just laughed and kept waking as if nothing happened!

The second was when we were getting our bridal party photos. Connor shook up the champagne bottle pretty hard before getting “the shot” and when he popped the cork it sprayed over everyone and we were all drenched!

Words of advice ?

If I were to give one piece of advice to any future brides and grooms it would be to enjoy every moment of your wedding day. It goes by so quickly. It’s not everyday that you get to have a wedding - So soak it, don’t stress and have fun!
