Advice?
Take every single second in! It seriously does go so quickly, one minute you are getting your hair done, the next you are walking into the reception!

What did you love most about having a Noosa boathouse wedding?
We chose to go with a Noosa Boathouse wedding for a couple of reasons:
The food. Absolutely AMAZING!
We loved that the River Room was pretty much a blank canvas and we could style it however we wanted!
The package we chose included using them as a wet weather back up, and we wanted to make sure that if we needed to utilise our wet weather option, our ceremony was still similar to how we had always pictured it (water in the background), and so glad we did because it rained ALL morning until I walked down the aisle and the sun came shining through!
The staff - all of them were absolutely amazing to communicate with, and so so accommodating when we needed to postpone and reschedule.

Top planning tips?
The planning process can be so overwhelming and sometimes we got so caught up in it all that we forgot what it was all about; the celebration of US! Planning a wedding in a pandemic is not ideal, and when we went into lockdown a week before our already postponed wedding, we were surprisingly calm, because we knew no matter what, we were going to get married the next week, and it might’ve been the most extra elopement, but we will be husband and wife and that’s what it was all about!
I followed all my vendors Instagram pages and scrolled through their websites and blogs for hours on end! I also asked them tonnes of questions and they always pointed me in the right direction! I cannot recommend them enough, they were all so so incredible!

Must have's for the day?
Pick a celebrant that really gets you!! Sommer has the same energy that we have, and she told our love story so beautifully. Our ceremony was so special, and so perfectly tailored to us. We love her so much that we even asked her to stay on and MC our reception!
A wet weather back up that you love!!
We are so glad that we did a couples / sweetheart table for the reception! It was so lovely to be able to sit down together as newlyweds and share some special moments together in our own love bubble!
Just before my bridesmaids and I went and got our dresses on, I needed to ‘dance it out’! I am so glad that we did that, it got rid of any nervous energy we were feeling and got me so ready to walk down that aisle to my husband!

One take away you'd love other couples to know
All through the planning process, I (Laura) was really worried about it raining on the day and having to use our wet weather back up, even though we loved it, we really wanted to get married at Hidden Grove. On the day, all I could think about was how excited I was to marry my best friend. It didn’t matter how, when, where, all that mattered was we were finally going to be husband and wife, and it was so exciting! Go with the flow, be flexible, enjoy it! It will be perfect!
