About the business...
When did your interest/passion become your business?
Do you remember your very first gig?
Yes, actually. Kristy and Dan, who were Married at Yandina station. I look back now and cringe. But I was so proud of myself at that stage. the design featured Craft paper with thin textures paper on top, black writing, a pink heart at the bottom, and was wrapped in twine. it was definitely an on trend design for 5 years ago!
My passion for design began through my internship at cosmo. then Going to weddings, i fell in love with the wedding industry. So little J Designs was my way of combining these two loves.
What's your favourite part of the job?
Seeing it all come together. delivery day is definitely the best. seeing each element coming together is always such a great feeling!
And i actually get a chupa chup from my supplier with every delivery too!
Balance. I want to have a thriving business as design truly makes me happy when I can get into my groove.
If you were a drink, what would you be?
if you had a whole week free, where would we find you ?
100% at the beach. cabarita beach, enjoying the quiet beach town, floaty dresses and no shoes
hinterland or sea?
toss up between italy and greece. probably italy though. i've been there a few times but I really want to go back and eat my way around the whole country
What's one bit of advice you'd give couples beginning
their planning journey?
It's never too early to book in your wedding stationery. Knuckle down your design as soon as possible that way the finer details can be arranged as your styling comes together. That way your stationery is ready to print as soon as you are.
